It kind of is, considering it’s still an app of sorts, but using the web browser. I just keep using “front end” because that’s what others call it. I see it like an app. but yeah, it’s to change the UI if you don’t like the default lemmy UI.

I usually don’t like to play the “English as second language” card, as I take great pride learning it, but I need to for this one lol. what does this mean?

I don’t really go on a blocking spree much. How would a front end’s block list implementation be different than the instance’s choice of software’s block list implementation?

I hardly browse All and Local. I am on a piefed based instance, and leave “Enable Automatic Follow of Feed Communities.” and “Enable Automatic Leave of Feed Communities.” on. So kind of my subscribed feed is semi automatic as long as I follow a broad topic.

catbox.moe works too. Although files uploaded anonymously that have not had a download/hit in over 2 years will be removed from Catbox.. which is weird that was not the default since the beginning considering they’re not like other image hosting sites size and funding.

Yep, I have encountered mastodon and the like posts here on Lemmy etc. Somehow a lot of them show up in !firefox@fedia.io

Well actually being in fedia.io it would makes sense, since fedia being mbin supports threaded posts and microblog posts.

At least threaded comments like on here and reddit is a lot easier to follow than on forum sites.

Although I do look back in warm nostalgia quoting forum posts as I back read 3 pages of them when I got back to a forum topic after 3 days. Hell, sometimes even just a few hours if it’s a hot topic. I wouldn’t dream of doing it nowadays though.
