Is it bad that I’m just completely uninterested in the fact that there was a gunman at the dinner? It just doesn’t even register as meaningful

These guys are doing so much harm to everyone every day that a few dozen of them nearly getting shot just doesn’t rate a mention.

It’s hard to really capture with words how much harm has been done and will persist through the decades. I live on the other side of the world, and our farmers will only receive 30% of their usual fertiliser orders because Trump made a catastrophic unforced error, but that’s just an example from the most recent few days of horror. The hits just keep on coming.

We are all so weary from bearing witness to this every day that I don’t have any concern left to give.

If news broke that we had all been enslaved by a hostile extra terrestrial force I feel like I would be more curious then distraught.

I think it’s just that most people don’t give a fuck about nazis, and would be genuinely pleased if they died, therefore this story is boring, inconsequential, and irrelevant.

Not going to kill off a pawn from the audience and wear a magical band-aid that can heal every trace of a gunshot wound in two days this time? But it made the last one feel so real!
