2025 was a breakout year for China’s biopharma industry. Out-licensing deals, in which a Chinese biotech company grants another drugmaker the rights to develop, produce and sell its drug candidates, hit a record $135.7 billion, according to data provider Pharmcube. That was nearly triple the value in 2024.

Ya know. A lot of people working in laboratory science can’t find jobs in the US right now. That’s MAGA’s fault. Now MAGA’s complaining about China pulling ahead in some areas of medical science, like they can’t figure out cause and effect. It’s very painful.
