One month later, the specs have been changed 30 times…
“Here are the specs”, I can see you certainly don’t work where I work.
I don’t get that…
There’s an issue at my workplace with constantly changing specs, or no specs at all. Or clients asking for changes but no one really knows what they want.
We probably have like 3x as many business people than devs and the process to get specs set in stone and delivered on time seems impossible.
Wow, that sucks. We get pretty clear specs, designs, etc, and while we get surprises here and there, it’s usually manageable.
I do what I call “I Toadaso Coding”. I propose a strategy for a feature that is flexible and will save us time in the future. Get overruled in favor of quick and dirty implementation to meet an arbitrary deadline. A month later, spend twice as much time implementing my the original proposal because of a nuance the other method didn’t consider. I’m not one to say I Toadaso, but I Toadaso.
Is that Homsar?
What’s that ??
