This just means its behavior is most likely described using “if” statements. Eg. “If oponent did this, respond with that…” Algorithm can also “remember” some actions and act based on that. However the AI is most probably not activeley learning from your actions. It has all the knowledge predefined.
Some more advanced algorithms utilize some self learning principles. Buy this is very rare in games since this is resource intensive.
