I guess being new here I need to understand some things a bit better. Someone tagged my first post as an ad. I honestly don’t understand why, since it stated reasons to move from mainstream social media to more ethical and meaningful platforms. If anyone would like to share advice, that would be more than welcome.
On another note, some of the platforms I found have the “non-US” advantage. Some of them are non-profits, others are user-controlled…
Some platforms are great for browsers, but they have no APP or they need a third party APP.
Any suggestions? Where to move from Instagram? And Facebook? And X? And Linkedin? and Amazon? Spotify? Youtube? Google Drive, Dropbox or Onedrive?
For music there is also Qobuz in France.
There’s also Deezer, SoundCloud, and others.
The reason why I stay with Spotify is sharing playlists with friends and Spotify connect supported by my HDMI receiver.
With a shared family account Spotify is also affordable.
