When eating Ethiopian food, you get some kind of stew served on top of a large flat injera bread. You’re supposed to scoop the stew and eat it with the bread. But what do you do when you are out of bread and have more stew left? Just eat it with your hand?


Ask for more injera. It’s cheap, they have a lot of it, and they’ll probably be happy to provide you with more gratis.
That being said, sure you can just eat it with your hands if it isn’t too hot.
Not really relevant to restaurant, but a friend in Ethiopia once mentioned that injera is a bit ritzy for them, they consider it to be a middle class food.
