The UK government has lost its appeal over a judge’s decision to throw out a terror charge against a member of the Irish language rap trio Kneecap.

Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, known as Mo Chara, had been accused of showing support for proscribed organisation Hezbollah following a gig in London in 2024.

Last year, the case was thrown out over a legal timing issue, prompting the government’s appeal.

On Wednesday, judges at the High Court in London said the 28-year-old would not face a new terror trial after it rejected a Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) appeal.

The UK government are seriously costing themselves credibility with this bullshit

There’s a world of difference between saying “free Palestine” and supporting terrorism

I’m happy to go on record saying that Israel is not a legitimate state, it’s commiting genocide and that if not for the UK and USA stealing land to create it, it would not exist in the first place (let alone have survived without their backing)

That doesn’t mean I have a problem with Jewish people or their right to have their faith.

Was the guy actually supporting Hezbollah? Because that goes quite further than just supporting free Palestine.

genocide the UK is assisting is bad, but the real enemy are the resistance movements?

would you consider la resistance an illegitimate terrorist organisation? they conducted terror attacks on Germans? on their vital lands…
