That’s definitely a thing I enjoy about lemmy! Old forums were nice because they actually felt like communities. The Centralization of the Internet has meant that it’s just a faceless mass of people (and sometimes robots) popping off their hottest takes at every single moment
**hottest take initiated ** I think of older communities as incestuous hug boxes. Two sides to every coin as the empire flattens the world and bleeds itself in the imperial core.
