You’re joking, right? There’s no way a trial ends in anything other than a guilty verdict. The whole world saw him commit those crimes on international news, some of use saw it live. The trial is basically a formality at this point, he wont be walking away from this.

Ah, so we don’t need courts anymore. Good to hear, this will surely bring many savings in the future. Sad to see that people are no longer equal under law, however.

Don’t try to put words in my mouth, I said that the trial is “basically a formality”, not “we don’t need courts”. Courts will always be necessary, even in cases like this where the defendant has such overwhelming evidence against them, everyone deserves the right to legal defense and their day in court. Just how much his lawyer can help him in this case?.. Well, let’s just say I don’t envy that lawyer or his job. I don’t understand why people here are so keen to defend a man who is so clearly guilty. We all saw his rampage, the whole world saw it. He was caught on camera, clear as day, as he gunned down innocent people. He lost his right to anonymity when he pulled that trigger.

I’m not putting words into your mouth, I’m saying what those words that you’ve said mean.

            This you?

I never said that, you just assumed the worst. Stop trying to twist my point to make me look like an *ist or *phobe or bigot just because I think mass murdering terrorists should be named and shamed.

I didn’t realise I’d have to remind others here that people are innocent until found guilty. By a court. Any action based on presuming the outcome is a breach of that. Add collective punishment to that and this whole situation looks very troubling.

If it’s a sure thing then surely we can let the process work like usual. People have been wrongfully convicted on pretty clear evidence before so there’s no reason to hasten it.

Are you talking about the same system that puts innocent people in jail? Or the system that has built-in slavery? Or the system that actively protects pedos that rape our environment? Just checking…

Or the system that reveals the names of innocent people who had the unfortunate fate to be related to a vile person?
