In 1987, when Forbes started listing the world’s billionaires, there were 140 of them.
And in 1987 there should have been 0 billionaires, and in 2026 we don’t need billionaires
And at that point, it was 140 too many.
Is that accounting for inflation? Because in 1987 you only (“only”) needed about $340m to be a billionaire in today’s dollars.
