They don’t make a great case of prosemitism with Palestinians and Lebanese and Iranians included.

Which was my point. They should stop being anti semites

Yep. An ethnicity that’s rooted back to the Bronze Age or further. Coincidentally also rooted to the tribes of Jacob’s sons, specifically Levi and Canaan. Also coincidentally pedating the Jewish escape from Egypt. After the generational wander in the desert, Canaan was the first region they declared their own by the grace of YHWH. It is a.k.a. “the land of milk and honey”, but was ruthlessly taken off a population we know was largely ancestoral to modern day Palestinian ethnicity.

It’s been like this in pockets of the former Semitic region for thousands of years, though. It goes long before “it was the Romans/English/US” stuff which, even BC, is quite new.

Edit: Worth pointing out this is nothing exceptional to that area and its ethnic culture. Just, unlike other parts of the globe, the cultures there haven’t managed to completely wipe each other out or be lost to displacement like historical cultures in much of Africa, Europe, etc; which have swapped hands many times to domestic empires, often resulting in cultures completely removed. Modern day Israel trying their damnest, though.

I know (hope) this is just a funny quip. But Israel the country doesn’t represent the will of all Semitic people (should be fairly obvious) nor all Jews (should still be fairly obvious but for some reason isn’t).

Israel blows fucking ass all over town and at this point I’m pretty happy to get on board and state that it absolutely does not have “a right to exist” in its current form.

That’s probably objectively speaking an antisimetic statement according to even tame definitions, not just the insane Israeli definitions. But for my money, I’m not an anti-Semite and I think Israel is probably doing more harm to Jewish people globally than any other single entity

If you read the follow-up I had with another commenter, you’ll see that that was my point extremely.

You could even argue that the Israeli state is the most anti semitic entirely in the world as the have killed the most semitic people in the last couple of years.

“you’re not allowed to say mean things about the Jews”

But committing genocide, killing children, doctors, journalists, detaining ships providing food/medical supplies, etc that’s all fair game.

tb a bit f, someone set a orthodox jewish ambulance on fire, that probably was really an antisemite, but it is pathetic how they are trying and failing to link it to iran, hamas, or anything really

I’m sure he’s happy to have a decent distraction from how badly he’s doing but those local elections are right around the corner.
