Especially in the last year with Trump taking office I have the feeling that all the declassifying by he government and a rise in so called documentaries like that of Jeremy Corbell are nothing else than a distraction from a more serious subject or incident.
Come to think of it maybe it has always been like that. Governments around the world found out that people were fascinated with UFOs and used this to there advantage. The whole UFO scene probably started with a trick of the eye or an optical illusion. And Alien abductions probably started with abusing of drugs and alcohol or being exposed to dangerous fumes. Hell the need for attention and money is reason enough.
I really would love to believe Bob Lazar and he seems a genuine guy but spilling secrets like he did, people have been killed for less.
Is this me just having an edgy take or do you feel the same way? By the way I still hope there is something out there.

I believe you.
The experience has been very difficult for me to process. I try to remain objective. What was it? I don’t know. Was it alien? I don’t know. But I spent a great deal of time digging through UFO lore, was a regular at the Errol Bruce-Knapp UFO-Updates list where major figures like Stanton Friedman, Jerome Clark, Bruce Maccabee, Kevin Randle, and others posted. That was the best (highest S/N) public UFO forum I’ve seen. Far, far better than r/UFOs. And yet, there’s just so much disinfo and outright bullshit. Too many hucksters out for a buck. Too many sensationalist podcasts. Few people with real credentials willing to speak openly. There are a few. But not enough.
I’m disillusioned.
