Entertainment is extremely subjective, to the point that poorly made products can be highly valued, and “vice versa”. Don’t listen to the popular consensus. What you should be doing is finding critics that A) aren’t flip-floppy or morally bankrupt, and B) align with your own subjective opinions as much as possible.
Once you do this, you’ll be able to find true value in critics. Even so, never let someone else stop you from forming your own educated opinion.
