Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) spokesperson Hossein Mohbi claimed on Wednesday that a US-made Patriot missile was responsible for the destruction of the passenger terminal building at Kuwait International Airport.

According to the semi-official Tasnim news agency, Mohbi said an investigation had been conducted into the attack on the airport terminal, claiming that the IRGC Air Force had not targeted the facility.

He said the findings showed that the destruction of the terminal was caused by a malfunction in US Patriot air defence systems, which failed to intercept Iranian missiles and instead fell onto the building.

What a time to be alive when we truly cannot say whether Iran is more trustworthy than the US.

This would not have been in my bingo card in 1995.

Then you clearly don’t know American history. If you want to talk about the largest sponsor of terrorism around the globe its been the US since its founding.

Just ask the Native Americans, Koreans, Africans, Mexicans, most South Americans, Afghans, Iranians, Vietnamese, Iraqis, Palestinians, Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Japanese, Lebanese, Panamanians, Yemenis, and numerous others.

The US loves to say others are evil yet has spent 90% of its existence at war for territory and resources and never shows hesitancy to use overwhelming death and destruction to get what they want.

Cold war was on. They fought the spread of Communism, and you have to understand that communism was an actual threat in the latter part of 1900s. Not like the complete joke it is now.

Things don’t always go brilliantly in wars.

Tbh I think we can. They haven’t lied about this war since it started right? Why would they lie about this semi insignificant event?

Sounds like the truth to me

Wrong. They have made several propagandists lies during the war. And of course decades before.

Like what? From my end every time they claimed a hit it was true. My government has been lying for decades as well especially about actions in the middle east.

Sure, the US government lies, especially now when there’s a person in charge who seems to be incapable of telling the truth. But let’s not dichotomize this too much: both sides are lying, both sides are their own kinds of evil. But not equally evil.

I’ll list a few of the lies:

            1. Claims of successful strikes on USS Abraham Lincoln around March 1. We also saw those spread here, which is some sort of telling.

            2. IRGC claims 100x casualty rates compared to reality for US troops in the first week of the war.

            3. Claims that Al-Udeid radar site in Qatar being completely destroyed by a drone strike around February 28.

            4. Claims that several F-35s had been shot down. Al-Jazeera spread this one. I reality, seems like one has been damaged on ground, and none have been shot down.

            5. Plus generally all kinds of exaggerations about the great things Iran’s side has done and the horrible things their enemies have done. Some groups of people in west swallow these without a second thought.

            6. Persistent Holocaust denial. A classic.

            7. Claims that ISIS was created by Mossad and CIA.

Classic propaganda tactics: stuff you cannot check at the time, but even if you check and debunk them later, a certain feeling will linger. And most people won’t even bother to check. They’re pretty good at that, which explains a lot of the delusion in the west about that area.

Well, to be fair, the US started a really bloody war of aggression against another country with full ground invasion, based on entirely made up justifications already in 2003. Not sure how it was in wars prior to that though.

Always the same, except for WW2 Germany. They thought that would work out for them, until it was almost too late.

I think that’s a question of goals. Was Bush Jr happy with his invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan? Of course he was. He got exactly what he wanted.

Is Trump happy with what he’s getting in Iran? Of course he is. He’d rather talk about Iran than his starring role in the Epstein files.

Just because the war ended up being a negative for the American people, and of course, all of the people in the foreign country that were killed doesn’t mean that the political leaders lost. Many of them got exactly what they wanted, and their friends who contract with the military got billions of dollars in revenue.

I can’t believe he just started building it… Like I can believe it, but also didn’t that get shut down?

Republicans will grab anyone and anything by the pussy. They don’t care.

Right now, they can do anything they want. They think we aren’t paying attention.

      We. Are. Taking. Notes.

      We don’t forget.
