A Tennessee man with no teeth choked to death on a piece of chicken that jail staff gave him instead of the "soft diet" he was required to have, a lawsuit says. The jailers allegedly watched him die.
This man had severe health conditions. He was confined to a wheelchair as well as being toothless and incarcerated. The jailers have a duty to provide adequate medical care(pdf) for prisoners. That would include providing a medically required diet. Sure sounds like Criminally negligent homicide to me. All those who ignored his distress and let him die should be charged under this offense.

They should also throw in further charges for deprivation of rights under color of law.
Best I can do is make them work in a different prison.
