    Aside from the thumbnail (and all of the channel’s thumbnails) being needless clickbait, any and all Ukrainian efforts to retake Crimea are good, but short-term expectations should still be measured against the fact that Russia is strategically willing to invest even more resources into holding onto Crimea than even the Donbas region, so unfortunately it will probably take more just an energy shortage (or even the closure of the Crimea-Russia bridge) to make progress towards reintegrating it into Ukraine.

      I think the intent is to convert Crimea into an absolute disaster for Russia. Easy to cut off, full of Russians… Russia will need to commit a ridiculous amount of resources to Crimea while their O&G infrastructure is simultaneously getting pummelled causing general chaos amongst the populace

      That’s the whole idea. They want Russia to hold on to Crimea at all cost even if it means depleting all their resources.
