    That happened in one of my old companies. Doctors note for everything. So instead of one day off sick, people would ask for doctors note for 5-10 days off.

    The policy quickly changed back.

      You’ve clearly never been a patient with a German doctor.

      In Germany, they’re colloquially called “gods in white coats”.

      If you EVER asked a doctor to give you a note for X days, you would not be happy with the result. They tell you what you need, not the other way around.

        I think the idea is that the doctors are annoyed that they’re being called upon for minor colds and are ‘overnoting’ to avoid having to write another and also as a bit of an f you to the employer.
