Yea, two separate officials close to Putin running to the press at the same time with the same story? This isn’t a warning its a coordinated threat, and it’s not the first time they’ve tried this: let us win or else; don’t push too hard or well really start fighting; don’t make Putin look stupid, you wouldn’t like Putin when he looks stupid.

Fair enough actually that’s a pretty realistic possibility. It would be truly hilarious though if he attacked a NATO state and they just didn’t bother to invoke article V because of the obvious non threat of Russia and just completely called the bluff on whatever dumbass “operation” Putin cooks up.

I can’t see them having the capacity to commit to opening a second front in this war over the long term. Whatever they do to NATO will be a 1 off event designed to provoke a reaponse

Plausible we will get that laugh. By my guess is NATO will be afraid to escalate and just say “vlad, please don’t do that. It’s unkind and a bit hostile.” And then block the savings account of ivan from Saskylach.

Can you point me to the pro-Russia tankies I keep hearing about? All the tankies I know are pro-China, and they’re never pro-Russia, but pro-Soviet. Two very different things, for the last 30 years.

I see them sometimes laughing at how China is using Russia as a puppet, but that’s not exactly pro-Russia, is it?

      Also, anti-NATO is not pro-Russia.
