So my username on reddit was u/IAmUser1234567 I had 17k+ Karma, i didn’t do anything they just banned my account. Now i guess they have created a digital fingerprint or marked my ip address, because if i create a new account it gets banned almost instantly.
I am loving lemmy(using Voyager on my android phone) so much. Reddit anyways now just contains shity cringe content, it is becoming like insta, I am happy to join lemmy family :)
Don’t worry, they do that here too. There is a clique of people with extremely fragile egos and worldviews that will have you mass reported if you don’t fall in line with their particular thought dogma.

I imagine it’s less draconian over here and easier to appeal with better chances of that appeal being reviewed by actual humans. Reddit banned me too just because I logged into one of my throwaway accounts and forgot that I was temporarily banned from one of the subreddits and mistakenly commented in there. So stupid.
