It is 100 percent the cocksucking that is the issue. Which is exactly why I am bringing this up.

Insult people without using one of the most common homophobic insults. This is not up for discussion.

I like that you think you can just dictate something and say it’s not up for discussion while it is literally being discussed, and there are valid responses. No, you don’t get to decide this. You are not the arbiter of language, and you don’t get to decide what other people perceive. It’s fine to ask nicely, but not in the manner you’re doing. You can say “I think [x], so please stop” but that’s not what you’re doing. You’re trying to tell us what is meant.

While we’re at it, aren’t asshole, pussy, dick, and just about every other insult not allowed too? Are we just not allowed to speak, because language has old connotations built into it? Are you going to start telling people that gendered romantic languages are wrong? What about something like gentlemen, which originally meant someone from a good family?

No, trying to fix language like this is pretty ridiculous. They didn’t say anything homophobic. Just because you read something into it doesn’t mean everyone else has to change. I think most people wouldn’t think the comment above is saying the person is bad because they’re subservient. It’s clear that it’s bad because of the person they’re trying to please.

I’m not going to spend my time arguing with a lib about this. I suggest you go interact with more queer communities and get their view on this.

I’ve explained that such language is not welcome here and if I see it again I will remove it.

Dude, view my comment history. Cut your bullshit. (Is this not an allowed phrase, because a cow’s shit isn’t bad, so it must be misandrist?) You don’t get to decide whatever you want, like me being a “lib” because I don’t agree with your authoritarian view on language, and force everyone else to agree. You could try explaining why you don’t like something, and try to convince others, instead of just telling people it is whatever you think.

I am not the one who used this language though. I purely explained that it doesn’t mean what you want just because you said so. If you want to remove it, you should put it in the rules. Again, so much language needs to be removed if you start going this route. I don’t think you want to spend all your time on this.

I interact almost exclusively with queer community. Not a single person I’ve interacted with has ever had a problem with using cocksucking as an insult and many of them have used such a phrase themselves
