I’m from the US, but I imagine its going to be like sodomy laws we had on the books for the longest time. Laws like this are largely unenforceable, but can be used to “throw the book” at someone if so desired. That also makes it performative for politicians, and they might even rest conscience free no matter how they really feel about the matter.
That said, I think older folks from the gay community might be able to provide better context about this sort of thing. I only know so much.
