I bought a sandwich yesterday which was a hot sandwich (in this case it was a Cuban but could be cheese steak or meatball or chicken parm or whatever). I only ate half and put the other half in the fridge. What’s the best way to reheat it?

Microwave seems to destroy the bread. Stove top seems to be uneven and burn the bottom before the top is warm.

If you got it, sandwich press is best, if it’s fridge cold it’s probably best to wrap it in foil or something and don’t preheat the press, put it in cold, then once it feels pretty warm unwrap the foil give it a little toast. Doing it this way let’s it heat up but trap the moisture so it doesn’t dry out and then the final toasting stage stops it being flabby. Some cafes also do a microwave first stage and then sandwich press which I guess follows the same theory but for whatever reason, in my opinion that never works and it’ll always feel microwaved even if less so. Good method of you’re in a hurry though.
