But 44% of the vote for a party that is officially classified as “extreme right” is not normal. It is a black day for European democracy, even if it occurs in a small east German state.
…
While Saxony-Anhalt (and Germany itself) may have dodged the worst outcome because the AfD won’t automatically fulfil its ambition of forming the first far-right state government in Germany since the Nazi era, there is no reason to assume it will be so lucky at the next election. Neither will other German states, such as Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in two weeks’ time, or other countries, such as France next year. No country is immune from the far right and, perhaps even more worryingly, no far-right party or politician is too extreme for political success (as the US has shown). We must therefore update our analyses and strategies.
What can be done to stop the far-right when their political opposition is too lacklustre to make any meaningful change? There’s only so many Nazis I can personally punch.
We must try ignoring the problem and ganging up on leftists because the simplicity and violence feels good!

The World Socialist Website is a Chinese propaganda site that support the Chinese Communist Party, including its aggression against Taiwan. Some may say that it fits to the topic as the Chinese government support Germany’s far-right as we know, but this wsws/org is not a reliable source of information. This is a pure propaganda source.
Literally the only thing I seem to see you do @tardigrade@scribe.disroot.org is fearmonger about China and I don’t think it is very effective.
Please come up with a new obsession.
Even if this were true, it’s better than supporting a dictatorial regime as you apparently do.
How is your unbacked up accusation I supposedly support a dictatorial regime ontopic to this post?
Why you don’t have a single post about the dictatorship that are allied to the West? You are not against dictatorships , you are against any countries who compete with the west dominance
Using the Guardian is implicitly supporting the dictatorial regime of the United States, the US is incredibly undemocratic democratic given how capitalists have completely unfettered access to manipulate and run elections through their money.
Hell even worse in how negative ramifications of those affect the entire world through US imperialism, including its aggressions towards China, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico, Palestine, Niacaragua, Yemen etc…
Using the Guardian is implicitly supporting the dictatorial regime of the United States
The guardian is from the UK
Neither is WSWS from China
Oopsie Poopsie, you levied fair criticism on China on Lemmy, prepare to be down voted to oblivion by the tankies
Take my upvote and try to stay afloat

The voters? Most likely… perhaps a bit simple-minded, since they obviously either don’t read or don’t understand their party’s platform.
The party leaders? They are highly corrupt neoliberals, often Nazis and fascists as well. There’s nothing “normal” about them.
