Turkey’s recent crackdown on its LGBTQ+ community and the media continued this week with the shutdown of one of the country’s leading independent news websites.

Just blocked it? So it’s still online and trivial to access? Cool.

Edit: no, title was misleading. It was shutdown

shutdown of one of the country’s leading independent news website

Anyway, they just have to move hosting to Germany. Shouldn’t take but a few days to re launch.

    Edit2: idk, this contradicts again

T24’s foreign news desk editor Buse Sogutlu confirmed to AFP that the outlet’s entire website — not just its coverage of LGBTQ+ issues — has been blocked in Turkey

Amazingly, this entire article doesn’t provide one link to the website in question. Terrible journalism

Edit3: this might be it, but hard to confirm
