While Russian scientists cannot. Why do you ask? Because they either are refused by the journal due to nationality, or fear FSB

most likely FSB. i dont think they are refused due to be russian, russian scientists maybe able to work with other universities in other countries to get published together… Also if they are fudging thier research results is another thing.

if they did refused, the Journals publishing companies couldve blocked the publication, i dont think they would though. plant and animal discoveries found in russia are often published in papers associated with international(sometimes) scientists, dont know about other research though.

Having published in Russian journals, I would say that it’s partially true.

There is like 1 journal in physics (jetp letters) and 2 in biology that are published in 2 languages

Large science focused publishers usually have a peer review system that determines if the papers have scientific valor BEFORE acceptance, and Putin’s daughters (and the other published Russian scientists) are clearly skilled and bright scientist . If their papers are published, then they meet that standard, and there’s nothing to cry ‘foul’ about.

On the other hand, this article and outlet consistently produce anti-russian articles, and are pr definition NOT scientific. The Ukrainian research should’ve been published in a scientific outlet itself, so that it was vettet as good science, but it wasn’t. So we have a non-scientific for-profit and biased publication, referring to non-published research of so-far questionable quality, complaining about real science being conducted as expected - ONLY because of …Russia… That is just infantile, and damaging to everyone…

What IS apparent, is that this particular media - and maybe even OP - are both extremely biased, and doesn’t care about science or proper knowledge research. This is about trying to attack Russia in any way possible, and frankly, the article is scientifically and intellectually speaking, infantile at best.

Not sure why anyone would regurgitate such obvious trash propaganda at all, but maybe anger or coping, or maybe anti-science attitudes ? Dunno, but ridunculous never the less…
