  • brother, we can all read, and we can all see you are full of shit. lmao.

im gonna make some beef souvlaki and tzatziki sauce, then probably go and make sweet, passionate love to my wife, if we arent too full after dinner, then watch our programs until we fall asleep.

you can jerk yourself off in the comments, and bullshit the internet to your hearts content.

good luck kiddo, you’re gonna need to get a lot better at this if you want to be the “bestess ninernet debatoh” someday, lmao.

  • gate keeping an imaginary gate again. arguing for the sake of argument. incorrectly.

nobody is saying it requires video, just that its common for podcasts to have it. which it is. and if people want to host a video version on peerview, they have that option. and it doesnt make it less of a podcast to have video.

there are audio only podcasts, and optional audio +/- video podcasts. they are all considered podcasts. you just have more options to view as well as listen, if you choose.

also the majority of the top 100 and top 150 lists of podcasts all have video counterparts (google it) so lets not spread misinformation to fit our narrative, this number is also drastically increasing year over year. do the majoriry of ALL podcasts also have video? no. most amateur or smaller / creatively different podcasts dont require video in addition. they get by just fine on audio, or dont think video helps them creatively, or maybe they just cant afford the setup they want yet.

bottom line. a podcast can have video. and still be considered a podcast. and it can be hosted on peerview if people wish, and still be a podcast.

theres zero wiggle room on this quantified fact.

1 + 1= 2, gravity exists, the world is round, water is wet, im gonna go make breakfast for my wife and then go for a bike ride.

i love you bro, go hug someone today, because i cant be there to do it myself. i hope you have a good meal soon.

  • virtually every major podcast also records video. you can record video, and audio, and still release those together, or separately on different platforms, or for different sub tiers, patrons, etc. and its still considered a podcast.

ive just read your whole spat, and the only person in this exchange who has actually been contrarian (by its definition) has been you.

lets not gate keep a gate that doesnt exist. its pointless.

  • you are 100% correct, however, the longer im here, the more tech literate i become, the easier it becomes for me to explain it to others, and thus, the fediverse grows. word of mouth to those willing to take the plunge.

you cant force people to learn something, but being able to sell it convincingly helps, especially if you know what you are talking about, and arent abbrasive or judgemental.

linux community / privacy communities rock here.

also general conversation feels more honest and constructive. instead of the whole “WeLl AcTuAlLy!” type of shit you get on reddit. it happens, but nowhere nearly as much.

also, way less censorship. comparing feeds from lemmy to reddit, is like apples to oranges.

this feels like a much more human space to me.

  • you arent wrong. its regurgitating the answer without understanding the source material.

like studying a tests specific answers to get a good grade, without learning what any of it means.

its supposed to be cheap, and accessible. but comes off like…well…slop.

the minute i see an ad, or “creative project” that employs it. i take a mental note to never purchase or engage with it.

ive used AI a fair bit for things like checking grammar, searching the internet for sources, or asking general knowledge questions, logic traps, to see how it viewed itself, humanity, our future etc. i did this to test it, out of curiosity.

the issue with AI is that if it doesnt know the answer, or isnt allowed to tell you, it will talk out of its ass. and attempt to logic its way through an answer. its the same with its “art”

it has its uses, best used for small simple things like recipes, workout plans, practical knowledge (sometimes). but overall, at this point, in this current version of society, with the current ruling class controlling the levers. its a weapon of misinformation, propaganda, division, and is an essential weapon of the security state. its also used to undermine virtually every profession it touches.

we simply are not ready as a society, a species. and those controlling it, creating it, deploying it, have no business being near it.

in an alternate universe we took care of the planet, socialised every human need, and took care of eachother, and developed beyond monetary systems of economics. maybe in that world we would be properly prepared.

but in this world. theres no fucking way this will turn out well for everyone. eventually the course we are following leads to our eventual extinction. not through AI alone, but through the total collapse of our ecosystems due to negligence and greed. eventually the bunkers and space stations will run out of food, and the ones that lead us here will find their karma.

its a shame our extinction was the final “aha moment” for the rich to consider sharing.

  • Violence should only be used in self defense when violence is going to be used on you, or to protect other who can not protect themselves.

my friend, this is self defense.

they are about to kill millions of americans. through neglect, and theft of their hard earned tax dollars.

    again.

you should feel no guilt when a small group of mass murdering psychopaths feel the wrath of universal karma. your conscience is clean.
