Meeting new people in casual settings and hanging out. Typically hostel type places with communal spaces, but with your own room for privacy

A group of Bus Drivers in Okayama did a fare strike; that is - continuing to run Bus Services whilst not taking any fares. Apparently it worked quite well - management felt the pressure whilst they faced no backlash from the public from Bus Service disruption.
I had overseas relatives visit over the weekend. It was nice to have the house feel actually lived in and less quiet.

Oof, I know the feeling of a deteriorating work environment. I am in a company that was eventually taken over by another. My department’s collaborative culture was replaced by a competitive one due to org changes, and a lot of the interesting people started leaving.
I’m thinking of seeking an internal transfer via colleagues who have previously switched from my team. Maybe you could explore that option as well if you have the network?

Horrid. My line manager is out, and now I need to deal with a bunch of problems that suddenly popped up at work. I’ve been grappling with sciatica and some dry eyes, and my Dad is hospitalised for some liquid around his heart. Luckily the operation seems successful, but now we await the study to find out why that happened in the first place - suspicious thyroid nodules were detected, but they shouldn’t be related.
I miss running. I need the endorphins to be well throughout the day. I haven’t ran in 3 weeks because of the sciatica issue.

I thought this was equivalent to Stockholm Syndrome

Not OP - I’ve been exposed to Climate Change news to the point of possible depression but I’ve never seen the concept referred to as AGCC before too

Command and Conquer - the Tiberium Saga. Leave Tiberian Sun and Firestorm alone, modify C&C 3 to have better continuity with Tib Sun and Firestorm on the state of Earth (i.e. Tiberium Fauna and Flora, further degradation of Earth environment). Remake C&C 4 where base building is part of the core gameplay element again, and delay the deus ex machina effect of the Tacitus such that the Earth is not in such a pristine state as what we do see in C&C 4

This for me, but I don’t feel the same if the argument is in a language I don’t know / understand.

I use Bluecoin (Android App) - every time I spend on something I immediately log the transaction in there.

For me I usually position my exercise routine before work. The cardio allows me to think and generally function better throughout my work day, like my version of caffeine.
But yeah I don’t have time to do anything else in that few hours before work begins.

If it was GTA with spells, it would be more interesting. But guns (and by extension melee weapons) just feels too boring
I tried to explain to my friends but they don’t get it. Like it’s too grounded in reality

Oh man the hallucination thing is such a good point!

I was on a quest to do this but I lost interest after reaching Jeremiah. Ecclesiastes surprised me though - that one was interesting.
Which was your favorite, if I may ask?

YouTube for me. I just realized I’ve been experiencing brain-rot like symptoms (i.e. unable to concentrate, think deeply in realtime, continue conversations without much pre-thinking) for the past few years because I watch too much Lets Plays as a substitute for human interaction.

Similar - I don’t say anything coherent, just contort my face and say things like Patrick from Spongebob (i.e. leedle leedle leedle lee)

Part 2: Me as a child putting my bare hand on a hot iron. My entire hand was bandaged up.
I don’t recall the pain, but the bandages lol
