I’ve not used BSD on the desktop for maybe 7 years, but at that stage things like Ghost and Dragonfly BSD were not any harder to use than say Debian or SUSE of the time.
Not sure how modern BSDs would compare to modern Linux installers.

let me try:
Apple make the best hardware, nothing can compare to my M2 and it’s under-sized ssd. The fact that I can have such good hardware and still have a full Unix system is unbeatable.
Will that work?
I use Debian (mostly) btw

I’m a little weird, but my front page has none of that. Am I doing lemmy wrong?
I would say start with Samba (or other NAS network FS), then try something like Immch image storage, move on to Jellyfin and a arr stack and then the world is your oyster

and I’d just like to say that Clarke is a New Zealander that had to move across the ditch because NZ is just too small to contain such talent
Look up Fred Dagg:

following on from an earlier comment in anothe thread, nitrated organic compounds come to mind, Toluene or Glycine.
The story I shared (or maybe some other online chat) may have got me on a watch list post the events of September 2001, so use at your own discretion.

Not to belittle the love I have for my older daughter, but our youngest girl (of 2) ended up in neonatal ICU at under 2 weeks old for 9 nights.
This almost broke me.
On the way home on (I think the second night) this came on the car radio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ivKzieP9ZU
9 years latter, it song still brings tears to my eyes - even as I type this and it is playing.

I know a cinema manager, and yes they (new releases) all need internet acces and are time locked aswell

It cost you nothing to add, say, OpenNIC to your system

on the day to day I regularly do 12h during the day without food (almost every work day)
I’ve done a few 2 and 3 day fasts for various reasons
I’ve done 3 or so day stints when sick with rotavirus and when I fucked up my shoulder and waiting for surgery
All in all going with out food for 3 days is not too hard

I generally seed to a ratio of 10, but if it is popular with lots of seeds I’ll stop it early, anything with under 10 seeds I have set to seed for ever - some of them are now into the 1000’s for the ratio
So my point is maybe choose what to seed rather than limit the speed - but no judgment as long as you give something back

oh shit

There are several others from what look like the same person:
