Not to mention there are plenty of mods that you can add to make it more tuned to how you want it.

I personally use cloudflare. Never had an issue with them.

I’m with you there. Plumbing I would avoid. I could do it, but like you said, flooding or just water damage in general makes me think twice. Gas I would be more ok with but even then I’d be wary of it.

Exactly. I’d recommend everyone try and fix things themselves at least sometimes. I try and fix small things I don’t want to have to buy again if I can.
Sometimes it makes sense to pay someone, but its a good skill to have.

If you like working with your hands, look into education for the trades. People that do trade jobs are only getting more and more rare these days so theres a good chance you can get a job that way and it pays waaay better than retail in a lot of cases.
Also like others said, knowing someone is also ideal.

I’m making chilli right now and put black beans in it. I like black beans in my chilli.

Please anyone feel free to correct me if I get anything wrong.
From my understanding, Apps dont change based on the profile they are installed in. They are the same exact app regardless of profile. Profiles just serve to separate apps for different users and further separate apps from each other with them being in thier own directories.
Not all apps that you install from the Google playstore require google play services. Some apps will run just fine without them if the developer decided not to use them during development. If they did decide to use googleplay services, the app may function OK or completely break. Just depends on the app in question.
As far as I am aware, updates will happen separately for profiles. Most apps that are installed via googleplay will install automatically. Same goes for fdroid apps in most cases unless specified otherwise.
I’m not sure what you mean by your last question, fail how? Fail to open or update?
Also, profiles aren’t really necessary for grapheneos to separate google play services from other apps or whatnot because they are already sandboxed. I dont use them myself for this reason.

I personally don’t consider my skills quite good enough to be compensated for if I’m honest. And I like helping people here on Lemmy, especially for a opensource project. I can’t contribute as much but I do what I can.
So yea shoot me a DM and we can see what works.

If you need a simple icon, I’ve done some graphic design before for the loops community on Lemmy as well as others. If you DM me, let me know what you’d like, I’d be happy to help out, no charge.

It has helped at least a little for me. It depends though.
I got lots of annoying calls about selling land because they mixed my information with someone else’s I guess. After i signed up, I got less calls like that.
IMO the best thing you can do is be very selective with what info you give out. Use a privacy focused browser, use ublock and privacybadger as well.
Also switching from Verizon to T-Mobile helped with spam. I get way less spam on tmobile at least it feels that way. This is all anecdotal so take it with a grain of salt.
I like my flint 2 router from GL.Inet. Uses openwrt on the back end but has a more normal interface in the frontend with the back end still accessible if you want it.
And you can install whatever firmware you want.

First of all, that sounds harsh coming from a friend. Its OK to be critical, but insulting an idea like that is pretty rude and not constructive at least from what you’ve put here. You should reevaluate your friendship with this friend if that is an accurate portrayal of how they said this.
Second, your story sounds like a normal super hero story which isnt a bad thing. Theres this weird idea that you need to come up with super original concepts to be successful in art but that’s not really true. If you do something that someone’s done before, but different enough, and do it well, people will probably like it.
So yea, write your story man, not because you think people will or won’t read it, but because you want to do it.

I’m a FAM of silicone eartips for sure. Better seal, better fit, more comfortable.
I can’t stand the hard plastic earbuds man. Hurts my ears and they dont fit as well.
I think you should first figure out why you aren’t sticking with Linux and go from there.
I just use kubuntu at this point. It works as well as works and feels how I want it to. I don’t need anything super fancy or customizable. Kubuntu hits that sweet spot for me.

Agreed. Lentils can also be good if you wanna make it last longer but if you’re going all traditional chilli, its all beans dawg. Kidney beans, pinto and black beans are all good choices.
I’d say 90% of usage can be done without the terminal especially if you just use Linux to browse the web or check email or other things that are mundane.
Anything past that, there is a good chance you’ll have to use the terminal. That said, I think its easier than ever with lots of people making the switch and asking questions on Lemmy or other forums.

I use cloudflare for both my domains. $17 or so each.
Honestly you can spend as little as a couple bucks if you dont care about a name. I like cloudflare but almost any registrar is fine as long as you pay for the domain.
I was also gonna say Okular. It does everything I need it to do and more. Digital signing when I used it recently was pretty simple.

Typically the difference is that people with autism and or ADHD experience things more frequently or more intensely than others.
Yes, all these things are normal for most folks, but how often and the severity of these symptoms are diffrent.
For example, I have ADHD, and one of the symptoms of that is I’m easily distracted. For most people, this would sound fairly normal, but even when its something important, or something I want to do, my brain is moving on to a billion other things all at once rather than focusing on the task at hand. Medication helps immensely with this, but it still happens even on my meds at times. That is not normal.
Also the autism spectrum is a spectrum for a reason. Some people appear to cope better than others and some can’t cope at all. Masking is normal but for someone with autism it can be exhausting because some people with autism never stop masking. They are constantly aware they aren’t “normal” and it stresses them out.
Its hard to understand these kinds of feelings if you’re Neurotypical. Our brains work differently from others, which might sound like “I’m special” but honestly, I’d rather not have ADHD. Shit sucks dude. I fucking hate not being able to do things like a normal person. Its a curse.
People ive met with ADHD or autism, its just nice to be seen and feel like were understood which is why these memes are often posted or are popular with those crowds.
Drop shipping has become a really big thing online. I just watched a video about people creating fake sad stories to push “handmade products”. All cheap mass manufactured shit from China.
Hard to find legit businesses right off the rip since it seems everyone is trying to scam these days.
