The Untied States is a big country. I would imagine it varies between different regions. I live in Canada, in my local area moviegoers are usually pretty quiet and respectful. But we get a PSA at the start of the movies warning people to be quiet and stay off their phones, so it seems the theater chain has had issues. And then there was the Minecraft movie, which I personally didn’t see, where people acted like idiots at the theatres because of a stupid meme. My cousin who worked at the theatre at the time said they had a lot of issues with that one. Apparently there was a fire at a theatre somewhere in the Untied States when people brought fireworks to the movie

Also, you seem to think it’s a matter of fact that The Phantom Menace is irrelevant to the story. If you care so much about Anakin being the center of the story, how can you not think his childhood is relevant? It’s part of the story of why he turned to the dark side, because of how he was separated from his mother without being ready and how the jedi didn’t want him at first. You really telling me the story would be the same if it started with Attack of the Clones?

Anyway, my only point was that if you watch the first and last part of the saga without the 7 films in between, you would be a bit confused as to what happened in between. If you watch all 9 of them, they are all connected and all relevant to the story, you just wouldn’t know it from the first and last alone

Isn’t that kind of a matter of opinion? The sequel trilogy is a continuation of the story, that’s why they have official numbers. The emperor returns as the main villain in Rise of Skywalker. By your reasoning we can say Star Wars is the story of destroying the death star and Empire Strikes Back is a whole new story with the same characters. You can make that case regarding any sequel. Officially, the sequel trilogy is part of the same story, it’s officially called the Skywalker Saga. Have you even watched the sequel trilogy? Cause it’s clearly a continuation of the same story. That’s generally what a sequel is.

I’m not sure which movie you think I’m talking about. Rise of Skywalker is part 9 of the saga, the conclusion of the sequel trilogy. The sequel trilogy is connected to the rest of the saga, it features Luke, Han, and Leia as old people. I’m not sure what you’re referring to saying the story ends with Anakin’s death. That happens in Return of the Jedi. Are you saying the story of Star Wars ends there and the sequel trilogy is a completely new story? Cause it isn’t, it’s a continuation of the story

Technically, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and some of the other jedi have voice cameos in Rise of Skywalker. Personally, I wish Anakin’s ghost had more of a role in the sequel trilogy

Most people express sympathy when kids die, whether they mean it or not. It’s part of the social contract, independent from law. If you don’t have something nice to say, the polite thing is to shut up. You won’t be arrested for breaking social expectations, but don’t be surprised if there are social repercussions
