CachyOS similarly offers a KDE Plasma desktop environment on an arch-based system and makes it easy to install groups of pre-selected packages for gaming, office work, etc. Not sure what GPU you’re running but their built in support for open source and closed source NVIDIA drivers makes CachyOS a really easy recommendation for any gamer.
I started with Mint, then tried Ubuntu, then Debian with the GNOME desktop environment, then Debian with the KDE Plasma desktop environment, before finally settling in on CachyOS. CachyOS makes it easy to get up and running with gaming and general work packages from their Hello startup utility, and I’ve had great Linux gaming experiences on CachyOS (currently enjoying Deadlock, No Man’s Sky, and Hades II). I’d highly recommend you give CachyOS a shot!
