  • Are there exclusions for Jury Duty in the US based on occupational fields such as:

    • Medical (Board certified doctors who work 9-5 consuming court hours)
    • Military (Active service member of the army, navy, marines or air force)
    • Sole Trader (Basically an entrepreneur who has full time committment)
    • Member of congress or a government official (like senators for instance)
    • Government employee (FBI agent, CIA operative, ATF official)
    • Active member of Law Enforcement (SWAT, Cops or Sheriffs)
    • Politicians (Those working for the white house in DC)

For any of those reasons: one should present proof of current employment within those sectors (for armed forces, such as CAC card or DoD idetification to guarantee exclusion or relevant credentials & ID’s telling them you’re in LE). And of course, Ex-Cons who are convicted of serious crimes are not eligible to serve as jurors.
