That’s fair, and people will use things different than the intention of the thing if it suits them. My point was more to highlight that you cannot group all things where buying and selling happen as “marketplaces” and expect the same protections/moderation etc.

This new tool is to replace the local ads/garage sale like equivalents with something self hosted. EBay is not one of these, regardless of how people choose to use it. As an auction site it is on a different level in both functional and legal experience. You cannot expect that from Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace Kijiji, or you local newspaper ads or garage sales.

But a classified ad site is not a marketplace, and that’s where we need to be mindful of the distinction.

EBay is an exception here, its also not a classified ads site.

EBay is an auction house. Auction houses have stricter rules.

Classified ads is you grandma posting her VCR for sale, or selling your used boat locally. Its a parallel to a newspaper classified section. There has never been any control on sites like this other than “buyer beware”. Craigslist, Kijiji and Facebunk Marketplace are all classified ad equivalents and have zero guarantee or protections usually.

Given these are meant to be local ads, the onus is on the buyer to go to the sellers house and verify what they are buying.

I mean, to be fair these guys are paid the lowest dollar and subcontracted at this point. They literally aren’t paid enough to make ends meet, they are too distracted worrying about their lives and family to bother worrying about some poor design that involved having movable panels crossing a pattern forcing an unnecessarily specific alignment.

Mostly unaffected save for some things. Emberstack kubernetes reflector opts to not make their own chart and their docs tell you to use Bitnami, so its the only chart I use that I’ll have to start maintaining myself unless Emberstack changes their stance.

I never thought I would have a healthy relationship with ASD+ADHD. I found someone who is my equal and we have an extremely fulfilling relationship that’s full of both amazing fun moments and frustrating ones, but we always understand each other. Pan fried shawarma is something Im still trying to get used to. The Lebanese Shawarma places in Ottawa all stack the chicken on a stick rotisserie and it is cooked exactly like the lamb or beef kebabs, they then slice thin portions off of it just the same.

It wasnt until I moved out west that I ever saw Shawarma done any other way, and everything out here has been disappointing by comparison.

I switched to Subtracks when I dumped Google.

Because I dont need to pay rent for my files and I don’t have to worry about AI and VCs trying invade my privacy.

Hence the groups having the ticket name related to the task I am working on. When the task closes I delete that group once I’ve ensured anything important for future context is documented and then I say goodbye with confidence.

I don’t bookmark things for work tasks, I log them in tickets or commit it to readme/code comments/team docs somewhere.

Edit: I should also note that my workflow uses Simple Tab Groups and not much of this new core feature.

Simple tab groups hides all other tabs and you switch groups via a dropdown. I usually only have 10-12 tabs open at once.
