I have 10tb server drives that sound like angle grinders at work when all 4 are working and in the beginning I thought something was wrong with them, but it has been 2 years and still all smart tests pass without issue.

So maybe issue with adapter, see if you can use a different adapter or plug it directly into pc or server

Track sleep how?

I know smartwatches track your sleep when you wear them at night through sensors, how would you do it with a phone, or do you mean tracking in a different way?

Izzy is a repo for fdroid, on Izzy they can still host your app even if it isn’t RB. Also, they just scan places like github releases and post your apps automatically for you, while fdroid only includes it if you submit it first.

Fdroid requires app to be RB (reproducible build) which is good cuz it mean the apk developer release should be identical to a build you make from source code.

My issue was that updating or adding a library to my app could break RB which can be a simple fix, but would require either waiting for pull request to be merged or forking yourself.

It just becomes a game of Guess Who to find who is at fault for RB issues. Maybe it’s just a flutter thing and isn’t an issue with kotlin apps, idk.

For power you would need extremely thick cables or a lot of them to be able to power enough boilers, AC/Furnaces, dryers, and everything else, it would be a better idea to have power generation be inside the hotel with substations to spread it to further rooms. I don’t even wanna think of the fire risks.

The real world makes if work by having it spread out, easier to manage this way.

I would bet the infinite hotel would become the country due to everyone living and running a business inside the hotel, well if the rooms aren’t expensive.

Another rabbit hole is utilities, how will you supply enough water and power, where would all the trash and sewage go?

This is less of a shower thought and more of a “I went into the shower pissed off, and come out still pissed off to write about it” kinda post.

I only ever use my local ai for home assistant voice assistant on my phone, but it’s more of a gimmick/party trick since I only have temperatures sensors currently (only got into ha recently) and it can’t access WiFi so it’s just quietly sitting unloaded on my truenas server

Idk how many people I have met who don’t know what windows is despite using it for years. For them it is Mac and PC (pc meaning windows), anything outside of that is black magic or hacker stuff.

For a yt music app, you can also use metrolist.

I just hope smaller sized drives become cheaper. The word “hope” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.
