I just have a hate for app icons that I didn’t know I had till I tried a search/text based launcher and I’m fine with clutter free fork of olauncher

What about using Intel ARC GPUs for encoding as they are all kinda made specifically for it, I don’t use jellyfin but I got an Intel ARC B310 Eco used for like $45.
Looking at current prices it seems like it’s around $120 now, was cheaper last year, but I still recommend looking into Intel GPUs.

I tried desktop mode once back in September on my pixel 8 running GrapheneOS, there has been a large update (Android 16 QRP1) on graphene a week ago so it might have improved, but back then it was still pretty bad, been 2 months plus graphene isn’t 1:1 with official Google releases for pixel so I is might be much better now.

If I was thorn guy, I would find luffys post funny

I bought 10tb refurbished drives for $65 ea last year, this year, same ones cost me $140 ea.
These are drives from 2017-2018 mind you. I know drives should start failing soon at some point, but that is why I have raid and weekly replication to a second server.
Let’s just hope something new comes around that will make current year drives cheaper in the near future.

Bought milk, got half made cheese /j

Most people don’t know what a DE is or how to change it and training wheels are best kept on till they get the hang of all the things.
Everyone is different and learning should be in small steps rather than leaps. Always ask yourself, can my mom do this?

Just cuz KDE works well on one distro, doesn’t mean it works well on others (idk why it’s weird like that). Another thing is that sometimes it’s nice when everything is setup out of the box with no need to configure anything except theme and wallpaper.
I get most Linux users like to rice the crap out of there systems, but sometimes you just need to get work down and don’t have time for that.
Also also, there are times software maintainers don’t always release versions for your distro and not everyone wants to compile things themselves, or rewrite scripts cuz author only made it with Debian distros in mind, or something.

If you lack experience with Linux and want a more windows like UI, then go with Linux mint, you will eventually distro hop either way so start off with the easy option and enjoy it as much you can before trying new things.

Imagine the white house full of women cuz the president couldn’t keep it in, or vice versa.
Not a statement of our current political situation or anything, I honestly don’t give two sh#ts about it cuz it’s the same as having a gun to your head and forced to either eat dog sh#t or bull sh#t. I hate politics cuz most people in power suck, and everyone who follows turns into their mouth pieces… I should just live in the woods at this point.

Idk if I prefer spam emails or this, both are not environmentally friendly, maybe emails take less electricity, idk, but seeing mail ads feel less intrusive than most ad delivery methods used today.

I keep phone usage low by keeping busy, I’m either working or doing hobby, I never used tiktok and I got rid of instagram, I only use YouTube a lot but I usually put on a long video and mostly just listen to it. Most of my feed is educational like engineering or science which I find really fun.
Also I’m not some 60 year old, I’m in my early twenties so I am of the same age as most of the people with these issues. Replace addictions with things you consider as productive, and train your will power to not break under the pressure/urge.

I will say, even WiFi cameras need power run to them, and I’m glad my days are over for running around on a ladder every week changing out the batteries for my mom. Running PoE makes life easier in the long run.
Even the camera that came with its own small solar panel sucked. Camera would drain battery faster then it would charge, shutdown when low, and slowly recharge back up, but you still need to climb up to turn it back on.

That looks so good
What if sanity was just a curse? (literal thought I had in the shower yesterday)

Nvm, found it on the site:
Pinepods has it’s own gpodder server that’s a switch flip in settings to start using, it also supports external gpodder servers like opodsync or Podfetch, and it supports Nextcloud gpodder sync - your choice.

Sorry I haven’t looked into your project before but I currently use AntennaPod with Nextcloud Gpoddersync, could I plug PinePods into Nextcloud or does it only work with the Pinepods docker server?

You forget that most adults are mentally children, only with more money and less time. My homelab is just a more expensive lego set.
Quick question, when hosted plan says up to 50 people, is that you can add 50 people to remember or 50 people can access one database?
