An arms length. We used to be sorted be height and you put your arm out and shuffle in until just touching with your finger tips. Then arms down and you are at attention and in formation.

I live alone and one of these biscuit containers popped open inside my fridge by itself! It was pretty loud as it rattled a bunch of other glass in there, but I didn’t realize what it was at first. I was sure someone banged on my window and was super paranoid all night. Scared the hell out of me lol so dumb.
