It wasn’t until the early 2000s that NASA’s web site bio of von Braun mentioned his WWII “contributions”.
California could pull this off, given its industry, agriculture, and Pacific seaports. New York, where I live, has lost too much industry and agriculture to be self-sufficient. Joining Canada, though, could help assuage some of those deficits.
Magic 8 Ball says… YES DEFINITELY
Both of them only move when placed on the back of a truck.
As a volunteer firefighter, I stepped over a hose in the dark and fell into a drainage ditch. Tore the ligaments in my ankle and chipped the bone.
For sheer aggravation, Facebook. I’ve been on it long enough to remember the chronological timeline, which made it easy to see your friends’ posts. Now you basically have to visit your friends’ profile to see what they’ve posted recently.
Instagram/Threads I don’t hate quite so much, but I avoid Meta products as much as possible due to my hatred of Zuck. I left Twitter and Reddit a while ago, not because I hated them but rather because I hate Elon and spez.
Free speech absolutist in action.

Must have fallen off the tow truck.
Is Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead only for women?
The canola oil I buy has rape seed in the ingredients. In very small type, of course.
Congress hasn’t passed much of anything lately. They just let Trump do his executive orders. But even if they felt like doing anything at all, the GOP has control and can count on a few Dems to follow along.
The original post does not mention if he was applying the brake with the other foot while still depressing the accelerator, but it seems like the accelerator on the CT is monitored by software that then controls the motors. It would explain why it kept the motors going as the brake was used. Of course, if he was using one foot to brake and the other to press the accelerator, this is totally his fault.
How could a vehicle that may not disengage the accelerator when the brake is applied be allowed on the road??? And who at Tesla thought this was a perfectly fine feature to have?
Does anyone have the sound on these days? My volume is set to 0 most of the time, I have no idea what any of the sounds are now.
LO is fine for most uses though working back and forth with Office users can be problematic. Two things that I like about are: it offers a database module, which Office for the Mac doesn’t have, and it can open a lot of older file formats that newer apps can’t.
It made it to 35 miles, why is he complaining?
My theory is the people making the decisions don’t actually use the products they make and have no idea what it’s like to use them. They hear that another site is using AI, for instance, and decide their own site needs to use AI. But they don’t understand what AI does or why they should/shouldn’t use it, only that they have to have it. Boom, enshittification.
