Pretty much like the other comment. It was thought that we still needed a lot of AI processing power to advance AI before it became more efficient. Now it turns out R1 does what o1 does but with way less. We’ll still need nvidia so I think the stock will rise again. Besides, these are just large language models and are still a ways away from actual AI. I think there will be a second bubble at some point.

Maybe go for a 1200W PSU… Just to be sure. And FYI the 50 gen is just about being released so the 4090 will be dated a little faster.

Until humanity unites there is no ‘we’ who can do anything. We are currently too busy polarising, fighting and reinforcing poverty. If AGI ever arrives, it’ll most likely be weaponised or used to make rich people richer.

If ASI runs out of control, we can only hope it’ll be a nice god and doesn’t immediately see humans are a disease and try to kill us off.

It’s, at this point, hubris to assume AGI/ASI wants anything to do with us.
