You care too much about semantics, got it. Not a bad thing, just isn’t useful atm. Have a great day. Time and place for that is in a few years from now, not right now

Are the semantics really a hill you are gonna die on? Alright guys, go get the organizers to change all the banners to reword it so this guy is satisfied—sorry but that’s what’s needed in this moment!
I’m being snarky, but what’s your desired goal? What does success look like to you here, if people listened to you instead of calling it a 1-day general strike?
Some day in the future:
“Hey guys, we’re going to do an indefinite general strike!”
“What’s that?”
“Remember that one day thing you all did on Jan 30? It’s nothing like that!”
“Sweet! I’ll go to work then!”
I don’t think you agree that the above scenario is your intended goal, so enlighten us with a corrected conversation

Yes that is part of the difficulty of organizing them—that and theres many millions of those people and they are spread out. How do you reach them over such vast distances and impact them? Would love to hear how you would have achieved it?

Turns out it’s hard to orchestrate hundreds of millions of people spread out over 9 millions square kilometers isn’t exactly easy to do, but I’m sure you have a better strat

Strike nurses are a thing ;)

literally illegal in the US for unions to call for a general strike, its insane

it isn’t illegal to download, only upload. Torrents get you in trouble because of seeding, not downloading

bandwidth should be nationalized or otherwise a municipal public utility so people can compete easier tbh. We do this with roads, water, electricity, etc. Get libertarians on board with data privacy insurances at the federal level so big brother cant spy on public bandwidth. Massie and Rand Paul could buck for that

I voted for kamala, and so did my neighbors

I wont suffer from this, but ill gladly watch you and my neighbirs suffer! obviously not being serious, but damn thats almost what you sound like lol. If you had some money, suddenly youre an asshole with that mindset is all. My neighbors who cant tough it out shouldnt suffer because you accept a raw deal is all im sayin

that’s what a lot of CVEs are
reddit used to be an internet place you looked at in class or uni when you had a break. I dont know how people get introd to it, but appealing to high schoolers is what reddit did. I made my reddit account when I was like 17, and lurked before that

that’d be a question between them, no? I wouldn’t trust a partner who wouldn’t want my input. I want to hear my partners input on me having a gun.
social media just needs http requests to exist, how does pre web 2.0 fix things honestly. gui apps have existed since windows 95 or even earlier, how is tiktok different than the space cadet paddle game with added network functionality?
