I liked the book, but it’s been a little while since I read it. It sits squarely in the First Contact and Big Dumb Object tropes, but it definitely feels like an older book. It helps that it’s not super long.

Currently reading The Prefect by Alastair Reynolds. I’m enjoying it and it fits in with his larger Revelation Space universe.

I grew up with all the strange ones from the late 90’s early 2000’s and loved them all; Rocko’s Modern Life, Cow and Chicken, Catdog, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ahh! Real Monsters

I think the Stremio + RD combo made piracy too easy and lots of users newer to piracy panicked when they saw the announcement and started asking for refunds and alternatives before anything even happened. I also started using RD a short while before the announcement and there has been no change for me at all, everything still works like when I first started using it.

It’s the typical conservative mindset, “It doesn’t affect me so I don’t care.”
