It’s an extra step, but I really like URLCheck on fdroid. Any time I click on a YouTube link, it gives me the option to open in NewPipe.

You realize that there are proportionally more “old hags” out there than 18-20 year-olds? And that there are also proportionally more “old” people who may feel more attracted to those “old hags” that are closer to their age?
