I often see it online and I think in the western world: everything is bad. Like sure there are a lot of problems, but this will never change. Even near utopia people will feel like the last bit of problem is unbearable, because it kind of is. But don’t have it stop you from living your life because not being able to help yourself will also stop you from being able to help others.

Things might actively get worse or better. Who cares what value is in that knowledge.

I know it’s because many people have clinical depression, I struggled with it for a long time. If you find that you believe that the world is a bad place - most healthy people disagree. It’s hard to believe but it’s true. Maybe ask some people around you if they like their life, how much they enjoy themselves, how bad they feel when doing chores etc. Most things in life are bearable. 🖤

I hope they walk as a big crowd

I’m German and I don’t think that it’s particularly healthy to be proud of the country you’re from. It’s basically the belief that your own traditions, language and land are better than that of others. Like I get calling a place home, but so many places in Germany are as foreign to me as places in other countries. Maybe more familiar, but familiarity isn’t the same as something being good.

What you want is more people join unions so that eventually all jobs are unionized, because otherwise it’s hard to find workers. That will lead to a different dynamic between employer and employee.

One thing you can do now is join the iww for example. They can’t help you if you are forced to take a shitty job now, but if more people join you’ll eventually have power at your job.

Pretty easy if you’re not just focused on your own immediate benefits…

The high paying jobs will come once enough people are organized in your industry. You can’t have it the other way around.

Unions are made of normal people and the normal US citizen pretends to be a millionaire thus doesn’t need to be in a union.
