No, no.
Bow wow nownow now… now-now now now…

I assume you could use syncthing to sync the notes.

How long is a piece of string?
Really depends on what you install.
‘du -hs /usr /var’ to get a rough idea.

Next time make a partition ;)

Is your /home on a separate partition? If so, no need to copy anything.
If you really need to backup, I’d get a proper external disk, or failing that, backup to backblaze (or similar) and restore later.
At a pinch, you could tar it all up and copy it to a usb stick, if you have a big enough one to hand, but it’ll be slower.

A tracker, in case you lose it.

When i have 5 minutes to burn on a commute, I play chess puzzles on lichess.

soma.fm has a pretty diverse collection of stations for different tastes.
No ads too. Ads kill a radio station for me.

I was also wondering if it will sync.
Mostly happy with syncthing, but open to trying new solutions.

Ah yes. OpenBSD. Well known for bloat…
Come on.

Find something broken/unimplemented and fix/implement it.
If you can’t code, you can help with documentation or by reproducing/expanding existing, but incomplete, bug reports.

This sounds fantastic!

I used to use rsnapshot, which is a thin wrapper around rsync to make it incremental, but moved to restic and never looked back. Much easier and encrypted by default.
I wonder if rr would work for this scenario?

But sometimes ampersands also!
Just imagine the ad-serving possibilities…

Maybe not exactly what you are after, but: https://sr.ht/
Megadrive era for me.
