I’m sorry, who’s saying the US will go back to what it once was? If you want to lay down and die, go right ahead, but do it on your own time.

I’m tired. I would prefer immediate collapse to slow decline. It is going down. Sooner or later. Damage done. Which is not something I lament in itself. This is an evil country that has done incalculable harm to the world. The passing of the US wont be mourned by anyone who’s opinion is worthy of respect.

What I don’t understand is why you have to try to drag everyone else down with you, and that makes you sound like you’re already “mourning the country”. Like I said, if you’re tired, you go ahead and lie down on your own, please.

I am just as powerless to stop any of this as you are. You go be poppy and exuberant for the both of us. Good luck to you.

Yeah, we’re relatively powerless individually, but not collectively, and you seem keen on preventing that from happening at all. There are judges overturning decisions, we got apps tracking ICE, there are mass protests happening outside, we got people helping others survive. There is a large push back, and we need more of it, not less. It’s mind-boggling that your immediate stance is why bother doing anything at all, and you seem to be pulling all the stops to justify it. If you won’t help, at least stop being a negative Nancy for those who will. We’re all doing our part, even if you’re not.
