    The real ghetto part is not bothering to refinish the spots where the hinges were on the cabinet door you used for the shelf, LOL. Or turning it the other way so the non-hinge side was facing out, for that matter.

    Otherwise, nice job! I need a pot rack myself, and this post inspires me to accept it being “ghetto” if that helps me get it done.

      It’s because I use mostly cast iron, and those were all dirty lol. And I usually let them season most of the time, so I don’t actually wash them too often. They get used multiple times a day, every day, and it’s worked for me this long!

    If it is stupid and it works, then it ain’t stupid.

    Looks good. If you got a lot of cast iron pans, I could see it ripping the screws out that hold the hooks. If that ever happens, make the hole a little bigger and stick a bolt, nut, and washer so it holds better.

    Every once in a while the rod may shift. I would wrap a rubber band so that it is “held” to the hooks just enough so you could tell if it shifts.
