Me!
By which I mean, I’ve been slowly restarting a musical project of mine after years of stagnation and frustration, just finished the fist song, and part of my editing process is to listen to it over and over on every sound system available to me to make sure all the settings work or see if there’s any little issue that takes me out of the song.
But also I’ve recently re-discovered Monster Magnet and Katzenjammer. Le Pop is a gorgeous album that deserves more attention.
After a few months of old 80s/90s/00s school soul/rap, it’s back to the classic rock station.
KUFX out of San Jose, CA for me.
Alice Cooper has a nightly show at 10pm right when I’m driving home from work.
It’s probably syndicated, but it’s decent listening.
I’ve been craving some classics and nostalgia lately, so I have recently been listening to the following songs:
Chuck Berry - Roll Over Beethoven (1959)
BUSDRIVER - Me - Time (With The Pulmonary Palimpsest) (2009)
The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary (1985)
Supergrass - Seen the Light (2003)
Riverboat Gamblers - True Crime (2006)
Pendulum - Hold Your Colour (2007)
Thanks for reminding me of Pendulum and Riverboat Gamblers. I didn’t listen to these albums in a long time.
There’s a French band called Zaz I listened to years ago. Stumbled on this song called «Je veux» https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0TFNGRYMz1U&pp=ygULemF6IGplIHZldXg%3D it has really good lyrics.
I’m only slightly ashamed at how many times I’ve listened to HOLY BOPPIN since finding it. Not my topic of choice but DAMN it’s really a holy bop
Discovered Puma Blue recently and really like it. Cool video on this one, too.
I “avoided” Grace Ives for awhile because I thought she was a different artist. Then My Mans popped up and I was kicking myself for missing out
Got really into Gabriel Jacoby this summer. Still listening in the winter, too
