Osiris is mentioned once in passing. Baal twice for a moment. Not what I was referencing but keep at it

Probably. I’m not going to watch through some dogshit starting with a false dichotomy about Jesus never existing

What was your claim, then? You just name dropped Osiris and told me to research it without any further explanation.

They likely inspired parts of the bible. Baal is weirder and in some versions fights Yahweh but sometimes Yahweh is refered to as Baal. Osiris has a neat resurrection story. Great snake myth, flood story, lots of interesting stuff

Osiris’ resurrection narrative is completely different to Jesus’. The Baal cults are mentioned in the Bible as well as the polytheism that broke out with Yahweh being added to pagan pantheons. So there isn’t really a problem here- Kind of like how some Shinto Japanese practices incorporated Christian practices into them. Doesn’t make Christianity Shinto.

The flood story appearing in numerous eastern cultures would be expected if the flood actually happened, so if anything, it adds credibility to the narrative that there was.a significant flood.

Which snake myth are you referring to? I see several about Norse and Siberian, far away from the Hebrew Israelites.

Egypt has a great serpent something like the Vikings. Apophis, enemy of Ra.

Floods are real, but several somewhat isolated events packed into a few hundred years. Now if you’d like, there is a terrifying scientificish way for the earth to flood all at once; check out the partially declassified “Adam and Eve story”. I’m not going to attempt to summarize. Albert Einstein thought the author was smart. Good luck, I still spend afternoons thinking about what a weird book it is.
