Devil’s Tower, Wyoming.
I really want mash potatoes now.
It’s a great national monument (yeah here in the us sometimes we call protected geological or ecological features monuments, it’s a quirk of the law). I highly recommend anyone in the area check it out, though it’s unlikely many people will just happen to be in the area. Great short hike around it though. And you can see prairie dogs! And listen, if you’re there you’ve probably been driving for a while, it’s a nice break to take and rest.
Still need to watch that film. I have it there in Jellyfin.
Very slow, then suddenly quick in moments. The ending is one of the most brilliant things put to film. This is one of reasons Steven Spielberg is considered one of the best directors ever.
Worth seeing as a classic, but I think it’s way overrated.
I’ve seen it once, don’t expect to ever see it again.
Was looking at pictures I took of it from a visit several years ago. It reminded me of a model.
