I’ve got some white t-shirts that have graphic prints on the front, that are stained in the armpits. I was wondering if I could bleach just the armpits of the shirt? I was thinking if I rinsed the bleach off the pits before washing it wouldn’t damage the rest of the shirt, but I’m not sure if there’s a better way of dealing with pit stains. Thanks in advance.

Shirts are cotton if it matters

    • Scrub and soak with vinegar and baking soda, then send through the wash
    • Look into blueing liquid; follow the instructions
    • in the future, try to wash or at least thoroughly rinse very sweat-stained shirts fairly quickly instead of letting it dry and set in - you can often head it off if you are careful about that
    • consider finding a more effective anti perspirant

Thank you I’ll look into blueing liquid if the vinegar and baking soda don’t work. And I did recently switch to aluminum free deodorant so hoping that will be the end of the yellow pits
