Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen (NCP) has condemned Russia’s disinformation campaigns against the Baltic countries.

Russia’s unfounded accusations against Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia form part of a broader disinformation campaign, Valtonen wrote in a post on X.

In recent days, Moscow has accused the Baltic states of allowing their airspace to be used for drone strikes against Russia.

The Ukrainian foreign ministry has flatly denied such allegations.

“We reiterate that — contrary to Russian propaganda claims — neither Estonia, nor Latvia, Lithuania, or Finland have ever allowed to use their airspace for strikes against Russia. Furthermore, Ukraine has never requested such a use,” Ukrainian foreign ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi [said]. …

Valtonen said that Finland stands in solidarity with all countries subjected to Russian intimidation and disinformation.

Edit:

In a related report, The presidents of the three Baltic states issued a joint statement strongly condemning border violations by aircraft arriving from Russia and Belarus, as well as Russia’s disinformation campaign.

Alar Karis, Edgars Rinkēvičs and Gitanas Nausėda discussed recent violations of Baltic airspace in which unmanned aerial vehicles arriving from the direction of Russia and Belarus crossed into the Baltic states, also violating NATO’s eastern flank and the European Union’s external border.

“We strongly condemn such violations and categorically reject the ongoing disinformation campaign by the Russian Federation against our countries. As responsible NATO Allies, the Baltic States have never allowed their territories and airspace to be used for drone attacks against targets in Russia.”

“We also reject and utterly condemn the threats expressed by Russia against Latvia during the UN Security Council meeting on May 19,” the three presidents said in the joint statement.

If Russia wouldn’t be so imperialistic aggressive, Ukraine wouldn’t need to defend itself and make such mistakes - due to Russian jamming btw

I just don’t understand what the pro russian idea is, of what Ukraine needs to do.
Just flop on their back and show the belly, and be happy if Putin doesn’t still kill them?

What would be the correct resolve in your opinion?

Answering my question with a question isn’t what I was going for…
Would be really interested what the pro russian view of a resolvement would look like.

In my opinion the NATO expansion is just a excuse from Russia to be able to go forward with their imperialistic politics of getting back to USSR size and status

Russia had pretty much whole of Europe in its grip solely by providing gas and oil.
Europe wouldn’t have attacked them just of that alone - and I haven’t really seen any aggression from Europe against Russia, before they started to aggressively take over land from Ukraine (starting with Crimea)

There were also quite some diplomatic approaches from Europe to solve this peacefully, but Russia lied and invaded Ukraine anyway.

They’re just like every other imperialistic hegemon - just like the USA and China.
Russia just does it in a quite stupid way and with seemingly complete disregard for the lives of their soldiers.

And as always, it’s just about resources, money and the illusion of safety, that kills a few million of people again.
Don’t understand how anyone can support that.

Would you mind to present your view and possible solution for the situation now?

(Sorry, if I’m a bit slow today. Came back from my business trip with the flu/some viral infection - fucking again, like seems always… - and it took me some time to write this with a slight fever and headaches. So, please don’t start nitpicking my words. I have my best o:-) )

You didn’t ask me anything. You asked an imaginary person which you assigned a stance something and you can debate your imaginary friend in your own head, I’m not needed for this.

No, you’re ignoring that I’d like to have an exchange and not done socratic questioning bullshit

You wanna go for CIA did it, and I find it completely dumb.
Oh, poor Russia was too stupid, fell for the trick and was pressured into a war.

As Putin himself talked years earlier, that he wants Russia to get the territories of the USSR back, CIA didn’t had much to do, but maybe nudge it in that direction a bit.

And anyway, Europe is now finally starting to get independent.
                  Rather slowly though, but still.

So even if Canada sold us oil, they didn’t win ;-)
